Peeter Cornet

Pieter Cornet (* 1562 in the Franco-Flemish area, † 1633 in Brussels ) was a Franco- Flemish composer and organist.

Its origin and the first forty years of his life are in the dark. Maybe he was a descendant of the French composer Séverin Cornet. After the turn of the century his work in Brussels is detected, where he held the position of organist in the court chapel next to Peter Philips and John Bull.

From the talented musicians and organists only a few works have survived, including five fantasies, a Toccata and other works, exclusively for Organ.
