Pelageya
Pelageja Sergejewna Chanowa (Russian Пелагея Сергеевна Ханова, mostly Pelageja, English transcription Pelageya Sergeyevna Khanova; * July 14, 1986 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian singer. Her repertoire includes folk songs of different nations in different languages , Russian romances and written by group members pieces, mostly in the rock style.
Life and career
Pelagejas mother Svetlana Gennadijewna Chanowa (Russian Светлана Геннадиевна Ханова ) is the producer and art director of her daughter. She previously worked as a jazz singer, theater director and Performancekünsterlin. Pelagejas father is unknown. Your name Chanov (a ) is the name of the last husband of her mother. At the age of 8 she began taking music lessons at the Conservatory of Novosibirsk. At 9 years old she won in 1996 in a television contest the title of "Best folk song singer of Russia". At the age of 10 years signed a contract for her with FeeLee Records, as a result, her family moved to Moscow. At 14, she completed her schooling and began to study at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, where she graduated with honors in 2005.
In 1997 she sang at the concert on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of the founding of Moscow at Moscow's 850th Anniversary Pageant. During her speech, Jacques Chirac, Helmut Kohl and Boris Yeltsin were present. This was followed by television appearances as members of the Novosibirsk State University.
In July 1999, she was invited by Mstislav Rostropovich to the music festival in France. There they joined together with Evgeny Kissin on, Ravi Shankar and BB King. In an interview with French newspaper journalist Galina Vishnevskaya designated, the wife of Rostropovich, Pelageja as the " future of the world 's opera". In 2000 Pelageja formed a band under their name.
2009 Pelageja was chosen in a survey of the radio station Nashe Radio "Best female soloist of the year". In January 2010 she took part in Bobby McFerrin project Bobble. In the years 2012 and 2013, Pelageja involved in the Russian talent show Golos ( The Voice ) as a coach.
Personal life
2010 married Pelageja television director Dmitry Efimovich. Two years later they divorced.
