Pelé (footballer born 1987)

Pelé (born Vítor Hugo Gomes Paços; born September 14, 1987 in Porto ) is a Portuguese football player.

Career

In the club

In the youth of the falsely called as Vítor midfielder Pelé kicked at SC Salgueiros in Portugal. After a financial crisis that drove the SC close to the edge of ruin, he left the club and signed for Benfica on. When giants he only played half a year before him hiring away Vitória Guimarães. After another six months he made his debut for the seniors team in the Liga de Honra, Portugal 's second tier. He was just 18 years regular player of his team and even promotion to the Super League. For the 2007/2008 season, the Italian giants Inter Milan began recruiting him and he played from then on for the current champion. His debut for Inter he was in a test match against FC Barcelona, but that he and his team lost with 0:5.

For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to FC Porto, where he was part of the contract for the transfer of Ricardo Quaresma to Inter Milan. Then he played on loan at Portsmouth FC and Real Valladolid.

With the start of the 2010/11 season Pelé played in Turkey Eskisehirspor. The transfer fee was € 420,000. FC Porto retained 30 % of the transfer rights.

In the summer of 2013, Pelé signed a one-year contract with the Greek first division club Ergotelis. Whether its good services, was aware of him, among other things, the Greek giants Olympiakos Piraeus. Pele changed hands during the winter break of the 2013/14 season the club from Piraeus. He signed a three and a half year contract and is to be reported for the UEFA Champions League.

In the National Team

Towards the end of the season 2006/2007 he was appointed to the cadre of the U -21 national team for the held annually in Toulon youth tournament. After strong performances in this competition, he was also invited to the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007. There he completed three missions, but was unable to prevent the departure of his team in the group stage.
