PeliÅŸor

Pelişor Castle (also known as "Little Peles " ) is located 1.5 kilometers northwest of the town of Sinaia in Romania. Located about 300 meters downhill from the castle is a listed Peles Castle.

History

The chateau was built by King Carol I. 1899-1902 for the future King Ferdinand I and Queen Marie of Romania built in Art Nouveau style. The client commissioned the architect Karel Liman with the castle planning. The architect had previously been awarded the contract to carry out further building work to Peles Castle. 1947 confiscated the communist regime the castle. Later, the Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu was staying temporarily in the castle. In the time of the Romanian architect Camil Roguski was responsible for the decorative furniture. Following a decision of the possession in 2008 was returned to the family.

Equipment

The framework and the bay window of the castle remind both the Romanian Austro - time and on Hohenzollern. Responsible for the furniture and interior was the artist Bernhard Ludwig. The Queen was instrumental in the design of the rooms. Part of the 99 rooms can now be visited. The Castle Museum has a collection of furniture and decorative objects, as well as a valuable collection of art and history.
