Pelvic spur

After spurs or Dewclaws are the vestigial remains of the hind limbs, which exist in some taxa of snakes. These are parts of the basin, which are regarded as an indication of the evolutionary origin of snakes from four-legged reptiles. Accordingly, they are found mainly at very basal taxa, such as the worm and the blind snakes, as well as boas and pythons. Especially the latter two families, the dew claws sticking out occasionally on both sides of the anus from the body.
