JOHNSON Cream is a skin and wound protection cream. It is sold in a round tin, on a yellow sun on a blue background with a shepherd and a dog is shown.

Invention

Invented by the Penates cream the chemist Max Giant ( † 1943) in 1904 in Honnef (now Bad Honnef ). Wool grease and zinc oxide formed the basis for the cream. Basically, it is thus a form of zinc ointment, which is scented with light lemon flavor. On September 17, 1904, he reported to the cream at the Reich Patent Office in Berlin.

The name is an idea of Riese's wife Elizabeth (nee Knapp): She called the cream according to the household gods, the Roman gods protection for households.

Production Development
