Pěnčín (Jablonec nad Nisou District)

Pěnčín ( German Pintschei ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic and part of the microregion Železnobrodsko. It is located six kilometers south-east of Jablonec nad Nisou and belongs to Okres Jablonec nad Nisou.

Geography

Pěnčín located at the southern foot of the 869 m high Cerna Studnice ( Black Brunnberg ). Through the village leads the state road 287 from Jablonec nad Nisou for Europe road 65 at Bratříkov. Located on a densely populated plateau below the Schwarzenbrunn comb six districts have grown together in their development. An exception is Dolni Cerna Studnice, which is located on the southwestern slopes of the mountain of the same name.

Neighboring towns are Horni Cerna Studnice and Huť in the north, Zbytky and Zásada in the northeast, Loužnice in the east, Bratříkov the southeast, Alšovice in the south, Skuhrov the southwest, Čížkovice, Jistebsko and Maršovic in the west and Krasna and Dolni Cerna Studnice in the northwest.

History

Pěnčín in 1592 first mentioned in a document of Jaroslav von Wartenberg as related to power Svijany village; the districts Alšovice and Jistebsko are already detectable in 1543. 1614 acquired Joachim Andreas von Schlick rule. After his execution in 1621 was Albrecht of Wallenstein new owners. Wallenstein left the possession Svijany his cousin Maximilian von Waldstein on Miinchengratz. 1814 acquired the Prince Rohan on Sychrov Svijany including Pěnčín. After the abolition of patrimonial Pintschey 1850 was an independent village.

On the territory of the municipality was the language border. Alšovice and Bratříkov were tschechischsprachig, the villages Schwarzenbrunn, Schumburg, Gistej, Labau, and Pintschei German. The community is a center of bohemian glass printing. In Labau there was a glassworks, which was owned by the glassmaker family Preußler beginning of the 17th century.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Pěnčín Alšovice ( Alschowitz ) Bratříkov ( Bratschikow ), Dolni Cerna Studnice (sub Schwarzenbrunn ) Huť ( Labau ) Jistebsko ( Gistej ) Krasna ( Schumburg ) and Pěnčín ( Pintschei ). Basic settlement units are Alšovice, Bratříkov, Dolni Cerna Studnice, Dupanda, Huť Jistebsko and Pěnčín. To Pěnčín also the local situation Čížkovice heard 2.díl ( Tschischkowitz second component).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Alšovice, Bratříkov, Huť and Jistebsko.
