The PEN / Faulkner Award for Fiction is an annual award from the PEN / Faulkner Foundation and endowed with $ 15,000 award to an American author. The PEN / Faulkner Award has been awarded since 1981 and is due to a donation from the Nobel Prize winner William Faulkner.
