Peng Liyuan

Peng Liyuan (Chinese彭丽媛/彭丽媛, Peng Liyuan Pinyin, born November 20, 1962 in Yuncheng, Shandong, People's Republic of China) is a Chinese soprano, performing artist and high school teacher.

Life

Peng comes from the Yuncheng District of Heze in east China's Shandong Province.

It is one of the most famous performers of so-called Red songs and a representative of the contemporary ethnic vocal music of China. It belongs to the Song and Dance Ensemble of the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army, whose leader, she is, and holds a civilian rank comparable to that of a major general.

She joined in 1980 in the People's Liberation Army. In July 1985, she joined the Communist Party.

She was or is a member of the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese people.

She was one of the first to a master's degree at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, China received in traditional ethnic vocal music of China, a course of study that was established in the 1980s.

Meanwhile, she teaches at the Central Conservatory in Beijing as a professor. She dressed many offices in the artistic field.
