Pensioner

A pensioner is no longer predominantly a working person, from a pension, that is a public or private insurance benefits, denies their livelihood.

In Austria, is known as a pensioner pensioners, the state pension as a pension.

Pensioners receive a pension instead of a pension, so a mostly state-owned utility power that is not based on previously paid contributions, but on length of service related pension rights. The practical differences between pensioners and retirees are low. In common parlance a distinction is not a sharp distinction between the two.

People who live off their accumulated assets ( privateer [ pʀivatje ː ] ) are not considered as pensioners.

A person who lives by regular payments from invested capital or lease of land, is known as reindeer [ rɛntje ː ].

The term retirees acts in German as a classic example of a palindrome.
