Penzberger Urmel

The Penzberger Urmel is one of the city Penzberg every two years lent literary prize, which is awarded to illustrated children's books. Patron of the award is living in Penzberg author Max Kruse, inventor of the Urmels. The prize is worth 2,000 Euros. Nominations are made in two stages: there is a jury of seven adults who passes on a shortlist of ten books on Penzberger school classes and a jury of children, which summarizes the results of the school classes.
