People's Progress Party

The People's Progress Party (Papua New Guinea) is a party in Papua New Guinea. It is led by Julius Chan. In the elections to the Parliament of Papua New Guinea in 2007, the People's Progress Party reached 4 of 109 seats. In the 2012 elections they could improve to 6 of 111 seats.

The People's Progress Party was in 1968 by Julius Chan, the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea from 1980 to 1982 and from 1994 to 1997 founded. This party was for many years a partner in coalition governments which were led by the Pangu Party.

Also familiar is the name People's Progressive Party.
