Per-Gunnar Andersson (racing driver)

Per- Gunnar " Peggen " Andersson ( born August 15, 1957 in Falkenberg, Sweden) is a Swedish racing driver.

1980 and 1981 took Andersson with a Volvo 142 at eight races of the Swedish Vredestein Cups part. In 1981, he won a race there and was runner-up. Also in 1982 and 1983, he remained true to Volvo, but this time in a Volvo 240 Turbo, used by the Swedish team ML Racing. In addition to some races in the Volvo 240 Turbo Cup, he also launched at the European Touring Car Championship. 1984 drove Andresson for ML Racing three races in the German Touring Car Championship in the newly founded and drove in his first race in second place and the fastest lap one. However, as a guest driver, he was not entitled to points. The next year he drove a full season in the DTM and was with a race win in Erding seventh in the overall standings. In 1986 he drove in the DTM, still in a Volvo 240 Turbo, but he joined the team and started henceforth IPS motorsports. After a second and first place in the first two races he could no further highlights continued and finished the year with the eighth place in the standings. Between 1987 and 2000 Andresson drove mainly in the Swedish Touring Car Championship and won it four times.

To date, Andersson is active in various national racing series.
