Peratallada

Peratallada is a little haven of community Forallac in Catalonia, Spain. It is located 22 km east of Girona.

The name derives from Catalan Peratallada from pedra tallada (, cut stone 'or' broken rock '). 1977 Peratallada merged with the neighboring towns and Vulpellac Fonteta the new community Forellac.

This privately-owned castle Peratallada as originating from the 13th century Romanesque church of Sant Esteve a dominant structure in the center of the city. The castle is already documented in 1065 AD and was restored in the 1960s to luxury hotels. During the restoration traces of settlement have been found from the Bronze Age. Today Peratallada is known for its old stone houses and rutted stone streets and passages. Its proximity to the beaches of the Costa Brava and the numerous restaurants and small boutique hotels and Artist Galleries Peratallada make it a popular destination.
