Percy Avery Rockefeller

Percy Avery Rockefeller ( born February 27, 1878 in New York; † September 25, 1934 ) was an American entrepreneur. He was a director of more than 50 companies.

Percy Avery Rockefeller was the son of William Rockefeller and his wife, Almira Geraldine Goodsell. He was the nephew of John D. Rockefeller.

He graduated from 1897 to 1900 successfully Yale University and was recorded in the the local fraternity Skull & Bones. Subsequently, he worked at Remington Arms.

On April 23, 1901 he married Isabel Goodrich Stillman, daughter of James Stillman, president of the First National City Bank (now Citibank ). His father was involved in this bank and controlled together with the family Stillman the company. In the years 1900-1922 Percy Avery Rockefeller led together the business with his father. PA Rockefeller in 1932 on the so-called ' Kreuger swindle ' involved, arose in which approximately 200 million U.S. dollars losses.

Percy was buried in the mausoleum built by his father on the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, NY.
