Percy Gilchrist

Percy Carlyle Gilchrist (* December 27, 1851 in Lyme Regis, † December 16, 1935 ) was a British chemist and metallurgist.

Gilchrist studied at the Royal School of Mines. He is mainly known for his collaboration with his cousin, the metallurgist Sidney Thomas, in which both a method for dephosphorization of iron ( Thomas ) method developed. On June 4, 1891 he became a member of the Royal Society.
