Pereskia aureiflora

Pereskia aureiflora is a flowering plant in the genus Pereskia from the cactus family ( Cactaceae ). The specific epithet aureiflora means goldgelbstachelig '. Portuguese common names are " Faco " and " Ora Pro Nobis de Mata ".

Description

Pereskia aureiflora growing tree -shaped to bushy with upright to overhanging branches and trunks of up to 20 centimeters in diameter. It reaches heights of growth of up to 6 meters. The different sized and shaped leaves are petiolate, obovate to elliptical. The leaf blade is up to 11 inches long and 2-3 inches wide. The fiederigen leaf veins have 3-7 side branches. The central rib protrudes at the bottom. The up to 3 spines on the areoles of the branches that can also missing are 1 to 3 inches long. From the areoles of the main shoots spring up to 35 to 1 to 3 inches long thorns.
