Perrie Mans

Pierre " Perrie " Mans ( born October 14, 1940) is a former professional snooker from South Africa.

Career

After Mans 1961 professional was, he won after 1965 a total of 19 times the South African snooker championships. At the height of his career in 1978 he reached the final of the World Snooker Championship, had to be there but Ray Reardon with 25:18 to admit defeat. After this success he achieved his highest placing in the Snooker world rankings with space 2. He also won the Pot Black Cup in 1977 and the Benson and Hedges Masters 1979. Today he leads with his son Jacobus a business for pool and snooker accessories.

Perries father, Peter Mans ( † 1975), was also a snooker player and reached the quarterfinals of the World Championships 1950.
