Perros-Guirec

Perros -Guirec ( Breton Perroz - Gireg ) is a municipality with 7440 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) on the northern French coast. It is located in the Brittany region and in the department of Côtes- d'Armor. The municipality comprises the city of Perros-Guirec and the settlements Ploumanac and La Clarté. Perros- Guirec is the capital of the canton of the same name.

Attractions

Perros -Guirec is a popular seaside resort with several beaches, including the Plage de Trestaou right on the promenade with numerous restaurants and the casino and the Plage de Trestrignel where the painter Maurice Denis had his summer residence. From the Plage de Trestaou also excursions start to nearby Sept Îles, which are known for their abundance of seabirds, including gannets. There are also in Perros-Guirec still a richly decorated with floral hall to visit a marina and a waxworks.

The nearby village Ploumanac offers a beautiful beach and a variety of restaurants. Close to the beach lies the castle Costaérès, the second residence of the comedian Dieter Hallervorden. Diagonally opposite is the former home of Gustave Eiffel.
