The Inti was from 1 February 1985 to 30 June 1991, the official currency of Peru. It was divided into 100 Céntimos. The ISO code was PEI.

Inti is, in the Inca language Quechua "sun".

The Inti was hyperinflationary. The successor currency was the Nuevo Sol, with an exchange rate of 1 million Inti = 1 Nuevo Sol.

The Inti itself was successor currency of the Sol de Oro, the exchange ratio of 1000 Soles de Oro = 1 Inti.
