Pescara Jazz

Pescara Jazz is an annual held in July -find international jazz festival in the Italian port city of Pescara.

Venue is the Teatro monument Gabriele D'Annunzio in the park Pineta Dannunziana and the Jazz Village in the district of Aurum ( in a former liquor factory).

The festival - the first of the summer Festival of Jazz in Italy - presented already in the Year of foundation 1969 international jazz musicians like Bill Evans Trio, which Philly Joe Jones Quintet, Barney Kessel, Lucky Thompson, Albert Nicholas, Jean -Luc Ponty and the Big Band of Maynard Ferguson. At the festival in 2012 included performances by Chick Corea, Stefano Bollani on, Roberta Gambarini, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Al Di Meola, Joe Lovano with Dave Douglas, Enrico Rava and Wayne Shorter.

2013 Bireli Lagrene occurred, Paolo Fresu, Trilok Gurtu, Omar Sosa, Tuck & Patti, Mike Stern, Dee Dee Bridgewater with Ramsey Lewis, The Cookers, Ronnie Cuber and Simona Molinari.
