Pet tag

Dog tag refers to a usually made ​​of metal mark for identification of domestic dogs. There are these marks depending on the region in two main variants:

• Either the evidence is that the dog tax was paid for the dog in question with this brand. In many cities and towns is the provision of the mark on the collar of the dog duty.
• Or this brand serves as an identity marker. It is partially required (particularly in Austria and Switzerland ) corresponding legal regulations.

In the soldiers' language, the term dog tag often used ( in accordance with American Dog Tag ) to refer to the identification tag.
