Pete Briggs

Pete Briggs (* 1904 in Charleston, South Carolina, † unknown) was an American tuba player and bassist.

Briggs, a relative of Arthur Briggs, played in 1927 tuba in Louis Armstrong's famous Hot Seven and then in the Orchestra ( Hot Fives & Sevens ), also in Carroll Dickerson 's Orchestra, Jelly Roll Morton, Jimmie Noone, Edgar Hayes, Vernon Andrade and 1943 finally Herman Autrey, but then withdrew from the music.
