Péter Besenyei

Péter Besenyei ( born June 8, 1956 in Körmend ) is a Hungarian aerobatics pilot.

He is with two world titles and a number of other international success as one of the best aerobatic pilots worldwide, as well as the inventor of the Red Bull Air Race Series, the concept of it - at the suggestion of the main sponsor, the company Red Bull - developed and where he also participates itself.

Besenyei was born in 1956 in the Hungarian Körmend. Although his parents were facing this project is adverse, he learned with 15 years of gliding. Five years later, he earned his first competition in motorized aerobatics.

The general public he was known later by spectacular stunts, so he flew through 1999 in China as the first person proven a naturally formed cave and passed in 2001 as first the Budapest Chain Bridge below their roadway with an airplane. Both stunts he increased after passage in normal flight position by a repeat in inverted flight.
