Peter Cullen

Peter Cullen ( born July 28, 1941 in Montreal as Peter Claver Cullen ) is a Canadian voice actor. He is known for the original voice of Optimus Prime ( since 2007) and Eyore from Winnie the Pooh.

Life

Cullen was born in Montreal ( Quebec ), the son of Henry L. Cullen and Mauriel McCann. He is one of the first graduates of the National Theatre School of Canada, where he graduated from high school in 1963. His brother, Larry Cullen, was a retired captain in the United States Marine Corps. According to his own statements Larry Peter inspired to the voice of Optimus Prime. His sister, Michaela Tomlinsom, is married to Frank Tomlinson and supports her brother a long time.

Cullen has three children and three grandchildren. He also has three siblings.

Career

1960s - 1970s
