Peter Del Monte

Peter Del Monte ( born July 29, 1943 in San Francisco ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Del Monte came in his childhood from his native Italy, where he finished school in literature and then the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia visited. 1969 formed Fuori campi its local thesis that attracted attention at various festivals, including Cannes, with critics. The following year, Del Monte worked for Italian television, where he presented two papers, respectively on the literary works of Albert Camus. Ugo Foscolo based.

In 1975, he then turned to the movie; Irene, Irene was praised for its careful staging of a life crisis and its representation by Alain Cuny. Del Monte needed then, uncompromising in his artistic aspirations, five years to follow-on, the quiet, psychological, L' altra donna atmospherically dense. After serious and cruel Piccoli fuochi he created with Giulia Giulia & 1987 one of the first movies that have been generated electronically - what Del Monte obviously more interested than the story told by the film.

Even with his films of the 1990s and the new millennium, he remained true to himself: serious, critically acclaimed actor cinema which regularly took his audience and does not give in fashion trends.
