Peter Delpeut

Peter Delpeut (* 1956) is a Dutch film director, screenwriter and writer.

Life

Peter Delpeut became known for his first films in which he used found footage material. In Germany especially his documentary " The Forbidden Quest " ( a fake documentary ), "Go West, Young Man were! A film journey in the footsteps of Western " and" Always wanderlust. The artistic life of Johanna Kaiser " ( Off- Speaker: Ursula Werner) on festivals and to see in the cinema. As writer Peter Delpeut wrote several non-fiction books about traveling and so far two novels. The passionate cyclist is convinced that the experience of the landscape of a wheel with no other travel experience is comparable. For his body of work he received the 2007 prestigious Dutch Halewijnpreis. He was also from 1988 to 1995 deputy head of the Nederlands Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, where he lives and works.
