Peter Desaga
Peter Desaga (* March 14, 1812; † after 1879 ) was an instrument maker at the University of Heidelberg.
His father was the teacher Michael Desaga. He received his training as a mechanic, opticians and sealer in Heidelberg, Paris and London. In 1838 he founded in Heidelberg's main street business optical and chemical devices. 1840 Chemical- physical apparatus C. Desaga was founded. 1842 his son Carl was born. In 1852 he became the first captain of the fire department in Heidelberg and in 1855 a member of the council. Desaga worked closely with Robert Bunsen and improved in 1854 a document emanating from Michael Faraday burner model, which he marketed as a Bunsen burner.
