Peter Dokl
Peter Dokl (born 11 January 1985 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian biathlete.
Peter Dokl is a student and lives in Ihan. He is biathlete since 1996 and belongs since 2000 to the Slovenian national team. His home club is the SK Ihan. Dokl launched between 2002 and 2006 at five junior world championships. Already in his first World Championships in Ridnaun he missed fourth in the relay medal just barely. 2003 followed with eighth place in singles and sixth place in the sprint in Kościelisko first top- ten finishes in individual races. Dokls most successful World Championships in Haute Maurienne followed in 2004. He not only won in the relay, which also Klemen Bauer belonged to the bronze medal, but also silver in the individual behind the Russian Pavel Borisov. Kontiolahti 2005 was ninth place in the single best result, in Presque Isle 2006 fifth place in the relay. Between 2003 and 2006, the Slovenian was also launched at the European Junior Championships. In 2004, he won bronze in Minsk season, Novosibirsk, 2005 Season silver. By the end of the season 2005/ 06 he went to the Junior European Cup, best result was third place in 2004 with a sprint race in Obertilliach.
For the 2006/07 season Dokl was appointed to the senior level. In his first European Cup races in Obertilliach he came in a sprint to the 80th place. In the next two races he was able to improve up to rank 38 and was first used in Oberhof in a relay race in the World Cup, in which he came in seventh place with the Slovenian team. A few weeks later he was able to win in Nove Mesto na Moravě as 23 points in the first sprint in the European Cup. The 15th rank in the following persecution Dokls best ever European Cup result. At the end of the season followed at Holmenkollen in Oslo 's debut with a single race in the World Cup. Dokl was 76th in singles. Best result at the European Championships in Bansko was ranked number 15 in the pursuit. For the 2007 /08 season, the athlete was part of the World Cup squad strain of his country. His best result was 34th place in Kontiolahti in a single, with the mixed relay, he was sixth in Pyeong Chang. In Östersund Dokl 2008 ran its first Biathlon World Championships.
