Peter Ellenshaw

Peter Ellenshaw ( born May 24, 1913 in London, † February 13, 2007 in Santa Barbara, California; actually William Ellenshaw ) was a British painter and draftsman design for feature films.

Life

Peter Ellenshaw came in numerous Walt Disney films as an art director for use and often painted the background, so-called matte paintings. He started at Disney in 1947. His first major work was the film What to Come (1936 ). Ellenshaw was four times nominated for an Oscar in his career, he could for the movie Mary Poppins (1964 ) win. He went in 1993 he retired from the Walt Disney Company as a " Disney Legend " in the history of the Company.
