Peter Ellis (director)

Peter Ellis ( born January 28, 1948 † 24 April 2006) was a British director who was involved in the development of a number of television series.

He began his directing career with consequences for various television dramas series in England. In the late 1980s he moved to Hollywood, where he lived for the rest of his life.

He worked on productions in the U.S., Canada, France, New Zealand, Spain, and has directed several episodes of Highlander, Supernatural, Third Watch - use the limit, Queen of Swords, Diagnosis: Murder, Falcon Crest and The Optimist. He also wrote six episodes for The Optimist.

Ellis died at the age of 58 of a heart attack. The second episode of the second season of Supernatural, Everybody loves clowns, was dedicated to him.

Peter Ellis was the brother of actor Robin Ellis and Jack Ellis.
