Peter Geyer

Peter Geyer ( born December 11, 1952) is a former German footballer who is a total of 256 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Braunschweig and Tennis Borussia Berlin graduated.

Career

Geyer, he had come from Saarland FC Homburg to Franconia, played 1971-1974 for the 1st FC Nuremberg in the then second-rate Regionalliga Süd. 1974 came with the 2nd place achievement of promotion to the newly formed 2nd Bundesliga South, however, Geyer moved in the same year to the Bundesliga for Tennis Borussia Berlin. He had his first Bundesliga application on 24 August 1974 ( 1st Round ) at the 0:5 defeat at Eintracht Braunschweig. DC in the second game a week later Geyer scored three goals in a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen. Also in his third game he once was successful. In his first season 1974/75 he scored nine goals in 37 competitive games.

After only one year in Berlin, the striker moved to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga 2 North. He scored 13 goals in 37 games and had thus contributed significantly to the achievement of Relegation for promotion to the Bundesliga. In Relegation return match against his former club 1.FC Nuremberg Geyer could enter on the scoresheet again. With two wins the Dortmundern succeeded in promotion to the Bundesliga. In the next five years Geyer was a regular player at Borussia and scored 25 goals in 159 games. Between 1977 and 1979 he was in the German B team to seven inserts.

Shortly after the beginning of the season 1981/82 Peter Geyer moved to league rivals Eintracht Braunschweig. Ran it in the first season still fresh in Brunswick, he was not so regularly used as he was used to from Dortmund in the next two years.

Overall Geyer graduated in his career 256 Bundesliga appearances (41 goals), 37 second division games (13 goals) and 22 times in the DFB Cup, where he was twelve times arrive at a score.
