Peter Hinwood

Peter Hinwood ( born May 17, 1946 in England) is an English actor, best known as a cast member of the Rocky in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Hinwood worked as a photographer and model, to finally be working as an actor. In 1968 he represented the Greek messenger god Hermes is in a film adaptation of the adventures of Odysseus, followed in 1970 by a smaller role in the horror film The Ballad of Tam Lin on the side of Ava Gardner.

He became known eventually in 1975 through the role of Rocky, a name created by Dr. Frank N. Furter creature in the film adaptation of the musical Rocky Horror Picture Show. The 1,86 m tall blond Hinwood embodied the muscular title character, who is mentally at the level of a toddler. His singing voice in the film was from the Australian singer Trevor White.

Hinwood ended his acting career in 1976 with a supporting role in Derek Jarman's Historikdrama Sebastiane and now works as an antique dealer near London.
