Peter J. Biondi

Peter " Pete " J. Biondi ( born June 23, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey; † 10 November 2011) was an American politician of the Republican Party.

Life

The descendant of Italian immigrant family Biondi served after attending the High School from 1961 to 1967 in the U.S. Army Reserve. He later settled in Hillsborough Township down and was from 1986 to 1993 mayor of this municipality. In addition, he has held numerous functions in public bodies and was among other things between 1993 and 1996 member of the Planning Council of Somerset County.

In 1998, he was first elected as a candidate of the Republican party for a member of the New Jersey General Assembly and represented in this after several re- elections until his death in the constituency of 16 He was deputy among others between 2002 and 2003 Chairman of the Republican faction in the General Assembly and 2008 Chairman of the caucus of the Republicans of New Jersey.
