Peter Liebers

Peter Lieber ( born April 16, 1988 in East Berlin ) is a German figure skater who starts in a single run.

Peter Lieber is the son of Kerstin and Mario Lieber and brother of Martin Lieber; the latter two were or are also skaters. The Sportsman of the SC Berlin trained with Romy Austria and Jürgen Bertko, currently he is looked after by Viola Striegler.

Lieber ' figure skating career was overshadowed by several setbacks. In July 2005, he was injured during a training course at the ankle; in September he was able to train again. In October 2006, Lieber broke his fibula in training and had to sit the entire season.

On his comeback to the German Championships 2008 in Berlin took second place behind Clemens Brummer. The 2008 European Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, he finished as the Thirteenth, in which he (11 rank ) a quadruple toe loop and a triple Axel showed in the freestyle and he therefore could fight his way from his 21st place after the short program at the 15th position itself. In 2014 he was able to improve on the sixth place at the European Championship again. At the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 he ran fifth in the short program, the free skating in the startup group of the worlds best and reached the eighth.
