Peter Lovenkrands Rosenkrands ( born January 29, 1980 in Hørsholm, Denmark) is a Danish footballer, who currently plays for Birmingham City in the Football League Championship.
Club career
In 2000, the then 20 -year-old Attacking Allrounder moved from his first professional Station AB Copenhagen for the Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers. After initial injury problems the attacker established with the strong left foot there quickly and scored 37 goals in 129 league games. He was with the Rangers twice Scottish champion (2003, 2005), once the Scottish Cup (2002 ) and twice Scottish Ligacupsieger (2002, 2003).
On 1 July 2006 he joined free transfer to the Bundesliga for FC Schalke 04, where he was awarded a contract until 30 June 2009. The first Bundesliga goal for his new club Lovenkrands scored on 5 November 2006 concerning the temporary 1-0 lead Schalke against Bayern Munich. His first " double ", two hits in a game, he succeeded in the top game at Werder Bremen on 4 February 2007. Overall Lövenkrands completed his first season, " Schalke " with six goals this season from, although to him in the second round two longer -term injuries more operating time robbed. However, the striker used on the left wing was immediately back in his first season a regular place in the team of FC Schalke 04, the German Vice Champion was born on 19 May 2007.
Since early January 2009 Lovenkrands belonged to no longer the Schalke first team and should work only with the second team before his contract with FC Schalke 04 was dissolved on 7 January 2009.
On 23 January 2009 Lovenkrands moved to Newcastle United. There he rose to the second English league off, but remained loyal to the club yet and made the chances of promotion to the Premier League. After a year with Newcastle United in the Premier League Lovenkrands moved in the summer of 2012 back in the Football League Championship and signed a contract with Birmingham City.
In various European club competitions Peter Lovenkrands was eight times so far successfully. UEFA said it the second best player of Champions League 2005/06 season behind Andriy Shevchenko.
National team career
His international debut for the selection Denmark Lovenkrands graduated in 2002 in Saudi Arabia. Both in the 2002 World Cup and at Euro 2004 he was part of the squad his team; it was used once each. Previously, he played 21 international matches for Denmark, his only goal he scored while in November 2006 in a friendly match against the Czech Republic (as of 13 February 2010).
