Peter Morales

Peter Morales (born 20 th century in San Antonio, Texas ) is a pastor of the Unitarian Universalist Association ( UUA ) and since 2009 the eighth elected president of the UUA.

Life

Morales attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where he studied history and sociology and graduated in 1967. He then worked for three years as a teacher in California and then moved to Canada. At 26, he returned to the United States and studied American Studies at the University of Kansas. After a semester abroad in Spain, he went to Oregon, where he was in the UUA church active since the 1980s. In 1999, he graduated in Christian theology and became the pastor at Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden, Colorado. 2009 Morales was elected as the eighth president of the UUA. He succeeds William Sinkford. Morales currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts. He is married and has one daughter.
