Peter Tevis

Peter Tevis ( born February 10, 1937 in Santa Barbara, † September 13, 2006 in Rome) was an American folk singer.

Tevis had lived since the early 1960s in Rome, where he came into contact with Ennio Morricone. This created a longer lasting cooperation in the soundtracks of several spaghetti westerns, including Tevis sang the theme songs. He had had in 1962 with a version of Woody Guthrie's Pastures of plenty a minor hit.

In the 1970s he published exercises to teach caged birds singing.

Then it was quiet at Tevis, who first lost his voice and eventually his life on the basis of Parkinson 's disease.
