Peter Waterfield

Peter Graham Waterfield ( born March 12, 1981 in Walthamstow ) is a British diver. He starts for the club Southampton Diving Club in the disciplines of 1 m and 3 m Art, 10 m tower and synchronized diving.

He participated in three Olympic Games. In Sydney in 2000, he and Leon Taylor fourth in the 10-meter synchronized diving, in Athens in 2004 won the duo the silver medal in Beijing in 2008 he reached the 10-meter platform diving Rank 13 Waterfield, becoming the first British winner of an Olympic medal since Brian Phelps in 1960.

At World Swimming Championships Waterfield took part for the first time in 1998. At the 2005 World Championships in Montreal, he won the bronze medal in the 10m synchronized diving. Another good results he achieved with a fourth place from 1 meter board in 2009 in Rome. Waterfield could win medals at European Swimming Championships also. In Istanbul in 1999 and 2000 in Helsinki, he achieved the bronze medal each in the 10-meter synchronized diving.

Since 2011, Waterfield jump in 10-meter synchro competitions together with tower world champion Thomas Daley. The duo should jump to the medals together at the Olympic Games 2012 in London.
