Péter Zsoldos

Péter Zsoldos [ peter ʒoldoʃ ] ( born April 20, 1930 in Szentes; † 26 September 1997) was a Hungarian science fiction writer.

Life

Péter Zsoldos was born in Szentes (Hungary). He attended school here and his high school diploma. From 1949 he studied composition at the Academy of Music in Budapest, where he graduated in 1956 as a music teacher and choir director. He was then in the Hungarian Radio music editor and reporter; in the meantime he studied from 1963 to 1967 psychology. Since 1957, he wrote science fiction novels.

The outstanding works of Hungarian science fiction literature awarded annually by the Avana Club and the city Salgótarján with the Zsoldos - Péter Award From the year 1998 onwards.

Work

About the ratio of its professions musician and writer, he writes himself: His novel "The laws of musical form and redaction, stricter than all other arts, with the freedom of the imagination, sprang straight out of the severity of these laws were a wonderful school.
