Development

Local elections

In the local elections in 1999 PETO immediately reached 6.1 percent of all votes and moved with two members in the Monheim city council. 2004, the result increased to 16.6 % of all votes, which she formed with seven Council members, the third largest party after the CDU and SPD in Monheim city council.

In the municipal election on 30 August 2009 PETO moved with 29.56 % of the votes cast almost simultaneously with the CDU parliamentary group ( 30.17 %) and was the second largest party. She received as the CDU 12 of 40 seats They achieved an increase of 12.96 percentage points over the election in 2004.

Mayor Election 2009

In the local elections in Monheim 30 August 2009 Daniel Zimmermann ( then 27 ) was elected with 30.35% to Monheim's hitherto youngest mayor.

The Board consists of 10 members. He is elected every two years by the Congress.

Fraction

Each Council member is working in at least one committee. In addition, the council members of PETO are represented in other committees, such as the Supervisory Board of MVV, the Board of Trustees of the Savings Bank Foundation or the Board of Monheimer art school. Group leader is Lisa Riedel since 2006. Besides the PETO Council members, the Group has also appointed ten informed citizens in the areas of youth and social services, in the area of ​​planning, environment and transport as well as in the field of education, culture and sports.

Also at the Group include the CEO and the two Secretaries Group, who care about the fraction office and deal with organizational activities.

30 -plus- project

To include older people appropriately with their skills and experience in PETO, was a corporation founded in June 2009 30 plus: every four to six weeks talking to various political issues are out here, and the results are in the PETO work in urban committees and boards should.
