Petr Pithart

Petr Pithart ( born January 2, 1941 in Kladno ) is a Czech politician and lawyer.

Pithart has emerged after the Prague Spring of the Communist Party. He was a signatory of Charter 77 and fórum after the fall of the founders of the Občanské. From February 6, 1990 to July 2, 1992, he was Czech Prime Minister (at that time part of the state of Czechoslovakia ). Since the establishment of the Senate of the Czech Parliament, he is the member of 18 December 1996 of 19 December 2000 to 15 December 2004, he was until 16 December 1998 and again Senate Chairman. Politically, he is located in the Christian democratic KDU- CSL. Since 1994 he works at the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague.
