Petr Å abach
Petr Šabach ( born August 23, 1951 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech writer.
Life
Petr Šabach was the son of a soldier and grew up in Prague. From 1974, he studied Cultural Studies at the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. His thesis dealt in 1979 with the transfer of cultural values in families. Already during his studies he published in 1975 his first short stories. Until the publication of his first novel Jak potopit Australii worked until 1987 in a variety of professions, including as a night watchman and caretaker. His often humorous and satirical books were later filmed several times, including to the Hovno Hori directed by Jan Hřebejk and published in 1999 Cuddle nests.
