Petr VeliÄka
Petr Velička ( born February 26, 1967 in Frýdek- Místek ) is a Czech chess master.
In 2007 he was awarded the grandmaster title. His best result at Czech singles championships was the second place in 1999 Bohdaneč. Velička conquered or occupied top positions in some tournaments: I-III. Place in Brno ( 1994), I-III. Place in Ostrava ( 1998), I-IV. Place in Hamburg ( 2000), I-VIII. Place in Benasque ( 2003).
His Elo rating is 2490, so that it is ranked 15 of the Czech Elo ranking (as of November 2010).
