Petro Stojan
Petro Stojan Evstaf'evic ( pseudonyms Ribaulb, Radovich and Šulerc; born June 22, 1884 in Ismail, Bessarabia, † May 3, 1961 in Nice ) was a Russian bibliographer and lexicographer of the Russian and Esperanto.
Life
Stojan visited the Rišelje - Lyzäum in Odessa and studied physics and mathematics in Odessa and Saint Petersburg, and finally in 1906 and in Paris in 1907. For 16 years he was the author of or an employee of 12 dictionaries and terminologies, including the Great Dictionary of the Russian Imperial Academy and author of an illustrated dictionary of the Russian language. 1919 to 1922 he was a teacher ( " Lyzäumsprofessor " ) in Serbia. From 1925 he worked for several years at the main branch of the World Esperanto Federation ( Universala Esperanto Asocio - UEA ) in Geneva at its main plant in Esperanto, the ( annotated ) " Bibliography of the International Language" ( Bibliografio de Internacia Lingvo, 1929, reprint 1973) and was 1926-1930 director of the Library Hector Hodler UEA, then as now one of the world's largest collections of literature of Esperanto and other constructed languages .
The end of his life he spent in southern France. On 3 May 1961, he chose siebenundsiebzigjährig suicide by drowning.
Activity for Esperanto
Stojan was 1903 Esperanto. In 1914 he was elected a member of the Lingva Komitato voice control institution. Previously, he had become known in the Esperanto world by his eight- speaking Ornithological Dictionary ( Ornitologia oklingva Kel, 1911), as well as a Small Pocket Dictionary Russian - Esperanto ( 1912). 1913 Stojan had presented the project of a " universal encyclopedia on index cards " ( Universala Slipa Enciklopedio, USE).

Under the pseudonyms Ribaulb, Radovich and Šulerc Stojan created playful various fictional languages. The greater part remained unpublished.
