Petter Wastå
Petter Wastå ( born February 2, 1976) is a Swedish football player. The goalkeeper has played for Kalmar FF over 200 games in the Allsvenskan and took the club each time the Swedish championship and the Svenska Cupen.
Career
Wastå began playing football at Torsås GoIF. In the summer of 1992 he moved to the youth department of Östers IF. When Mariedals Cup, a prestigious youth tournament in Boras, he was voted the best goalkeeper in 1993. In the same year he moved with Östers IF on into the professional squad and came to his only international match in the jersey of the Swedish U21 national team when he ran aground on the side of players like Tommy Jönsson, Jörgen Pettersson and Erik Wahlstedt in Växjö against the Norwegian youth team.
1994 moved Wastå on to Kalmar FF. There he made his debut as a 19 -year-old in goal for the first team. After he was initially spare man behind Anders Karlsson, he could eliminate them from the space between the posts this soon. In the following years he experienced ups and downs with the club. In 1996 the team was relegated from the third division, but then managed to march through in the Allsvenskan. Then we shuttled between first and second class, before following the rise in 2003 succeeded in establishing in the Allsvenskan. In the 2007 he overtook Leif Friberg, who had accrued in 132 appearances for KFF in the Allsvenskan as squid goalkeeper with most top-flight. Having been in the league runner-up title was succeeded after IFK Göteborg, he reached the cup final with KFF. Goals from Cesar Santin, who scored twice, and Patrik Ingelsten succeeded against the champions of Cup glory. In the following season dominated KFF long the league and could by a 2-2 draw at Halmstad BK on the final day to celebrate the Swedish league title for the first time, Wastå came here in 29 of 30 games this season for use. In the following years Wastå tied with the team in the league not to the success and occupied seats in the mid table area. During the 2010 season he displaced Etrit Berisha as the root force between the posts. After an injury of the opponent, he returned in the last third of the season following back onto the field and thus was also the final of the National Cup, which was lost to champion Helsingborgs IF with a 1-3 defeat. Wastå caused thereby a penalty kick, Christoffer Andersson turned to the final score.
