Petya Dubarova

Petya Stojkowa Dubarowa (also: Petya Dubarova; Bulgarian Петя Стойкова Дубарова; born April 25, 1962 in Burgas, † December 4, 1979 in Burgas ) was a Bulgarian poet and actress.

Life

Petya Dubarowa was born in the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas in the family of Marija and Stajko Dubarowi. Still quite early, she wrote her first poems. Some of them were in the newspapers " Slawejtsche " ( Bulg Славейче ) and " Narodna Mladesch " ( Bulg Народна младеж ), as well as in youth magazines " Rodna Rech " ( Bulg Родна реч ) and " Mladesch " ( Bulg Младеж ) published. Her work has been influenced by the authors Christo Fotew and Grigor Lenkow.

Dubarowa made ​​her film debut in " Trampa " (1978 ) ( Bulg Трампа ). After primary school, the excellent student attended the English School "Geo Milew " in the coastal town. There they often read their classmates before their poems.

During the winter holidays, she went driving with your family in the mountains skiing. During one of these trips she met her great love Pier, know a Swede. In her diary, she describes him as " ... the stranger, the Light, the charming, the Tender ... ". However, after the end of the vacation, he returned to Sweden and to Bourgas. In the following years they change several letters, but it will stop pier off contact. Dubarowa could handle the separation badly.

On December 4, 1979, she committed suicide at the age of 17 years, suicide, for reasons that are not yet clear.

Today in Burgas, there is a museum that is dedicated to her.

Work

Dubarowas poetry has certain frivolity, full of pastel colors and romance. Her poetry deals with several issues such as everlasting love, the sea, the rain and the youth. Despite their early age convinces her work with the language and perspective of a much more mature person. Much of her poems she has published during his lifetime in newspapers and magazines, but their complete works was printed posthumously.
