Peugeot 204

The Peugeot 204 is a car from Peugeot and was built by summer 1965 to autumn 1977. With him, the French company brought back a vehicle after a long break of the lower middle class to the market, because the Peugeot 202 was set in 1949. The 204 also was the first Peugeot with front wheel drive and disc brakes on the front axle.

Technology

The modern design has technically with the more conservative middle class models 403 and 404 have nothing in common: The 204 has front and rear independent suspension: MacPherson struts at the front of and wishbones, rear solid swing. In the fall of 1969, a revised version was with a larger engine (1300 cc ), revised fenders, grille and headlights and extended by 15 cm Tail presented with larger taillights than 304.

However, production of the 204 continued until late summer 1977 as a sedan and break with just a few changes on. Coupe and convertible were just as 304 available from March 1970.
