Phare du Monde

The Phare du Monde (the lighthouse in the world) was never realized lookout tower project for the 1937 World Exhibition in Paris. The Phare du Monde was configured as a 701 -meter-high concrete tower, on the outside you on a spiral ramp would by car can drive up. On top of the tower restaurant for 2200 people was planned. The design came from the French Eugène Freyssinet (1879-1962), the inventor of prestressed concrete.
