Phil Schiller

Philip W. Schiller ( born June 8, 1960 in Natick, Massachusetts) is an American manager and vice president of marketing of the company Apple. He gained worldwide fame primarily for his appearances on Apple's product presentations. He is a member of the Board since Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997.

Career

Schiller received a Bachelor 's degree in Biology from Boston College in 1982., He began a Ph.D. in English, but he did not graduate. In addition to more than 25 years at Apple, he also worked as Vice President of Product Marketing at Macromedia, worked as a product marketing director at Fire Power Systems, a technology manager at Nolan and as a system analyst in the Hospital of Boston.

In Apple's product launches, the so-called keynotes, Schiller plays an important role often. Especially during Steve Jobs' health- related absence, he took over a large part of the ideas. In 2009 he exhibited for example, before the iPhone 3GS.
